A writer Mykai: Found Joy, Flavor, and Faith in the Storm
Hello and welcome!
If there is one difference between my life and a typical lifestyle blog, it is my location. For the past four years, I have lived in Ukraine, just 16 km from the front line. But this is not a blog about war—that topic is heavy enough. Instead, I want to talk about the things that truly save us: joy, happiness, and love.
My decision to stay here wasn’t simple. I lived near Berlin and planned to leave, but love for the people dear to my heart kept me here. As it turned out, I stayed not only to help people but also to save animals.
The Captain and His Crew
My home has become a sanctuary. Cats, dogs, and birds have gathered around me—some bringing sad stories, others funny ones, but all are stories of rescue.
I see my life now as a ship passing through a fierce storm of trials. Those around me—my neighbors and my rescued animals—are my crew. I am the captain, relying on the mercy of God, experience, and wisdom to fight for the survival of the ship and the safety of the crew.
Although I had to postpone my planned visit to relatives in Paris, my ship’s journey through life continues. And I invite you to come aboard.
